22. The Funeral Culture

One of the biggest fear related to ancestral god is whether something bad might happen if we do not perform an ancestral service. The next one is a groundless belief that securing a wrong gravesite for one’s ancestor causes troubles to the descendants. The belief has prevailed into several layers of the  eastern funeral culture in a very irrational way.

It is a very humane thought that the late ancestors become ghosts and affect the living people’s life. As it is the energy of thought and notion that people are drawing at their own level of consciousness without any knowledge about ghosts existing in energy form, only a long term learning can fix it up through trials and errors.

There is a groundless belief a gravesite should be a sunny place called ‘Myung Dang’ (a propitious site for grave) for the prosperity of descendants. However, that belief is originated from the religious faith praying for blessing and the geomantic culture of making one’s fortune. The funeral culture is a deep rooted custom living in our consciousness, because we think that our ancestors are always with us even after they passed away.

Whether the funeral is performed as a cremation or a natural burial, whether burying a body in a propitious site or in any scenic place,  whether a body is buried in a cemetery or chopped up into several pieces for bird feed, whether the body becomes mummified or buried in anywhere, whether there is a tomb stone or not, anything will be OK. When a person dies, a Spirit-Soul is separated, each follows the bright light of magnetic field and they come back to the astral plane (4th dimension of spiritual world which is supervised by the Gaia). In this course of coming back, angels in charge of this mission guide them.

Baek (body energy)  also goes to the 4th dimension and is absorbed to the Gaia energy, while the physical body of the dead scatters away in the ground and  return to the basic elements of the Earth. Therefore, it is impossible that a certain energy remains in a dead body. For your understanding, let me again summary the process after death. A spirit separates from a body just before one’s death and arrive at the 4th dimensional spiritual world in advance. Then, a soul scatters and comes back to the 4th dimension. Baek (body energy) also comes back to the 4th dimension and the material body returns to ashes and then turns to the elements of earth. A spirit, soul and baek, all of them leave for the 4th dimension in just 3 days after death to review this lifetime and prepare next life.

In the case ancestral spirits reincarnate, they tend to be attracted to similar energy. Sometimes, a grandfather might be born as a child of his grand son. It is general that family members reincarnate in their family or same group spirits reincarnate within their spirit group. The spirits, souls and Baek - came back to heaven - take a healing process respectively and prepare the next life. Or, they could take a role of nonmaterial conscious energy like a ghost or an angel.

Burying the dead on a propitious site is also determined by the level of consciousness of living people. Using a good site or taking good care of grave does not cause a punishment or a reward from the late ancestors. . It never happens in the universe.

“A piece of pure mind could alter the universe!” It is the result of reflecting yearning and regret to their parents when the descendants become mature. They want to wish their parents peace and happiness by burying them in a good place with regret of having not been nice to their parents while they were alive.

The spirit-souls no longer worry about their descendants, once they took off their material bodies. Ancestral spirit-souls and ghosts do not have any obsession or desire as they realize that everything is an experience and a matrix for learning. They are watching ‘you in the matrix’ from the outside of matrix. Thus, you do not need to worry about your late parents, ancestral spirit-souls and ghosts at your level of consciousness.

Please, understand that only the descendants living in the 3rd dimension are obsessed to relations and regret, love and hatred, anger and sorrow. So humane human mind is still grabbing them. No matter how a person dies - a mother who died from an illness, someone who suffered and died from a stroke, someone who suffered and died from a cancer, someone who suffered and died from a cancer, someone who died at the end of tough life, someone who committed suicide -  every death happens with the consent of his/her own higher-self.

As there is no ‘wrong and regretful death’ in the view of a spirit-soul, there will be no disadvantage and nothing is going wrong, no matter what a form of funeral is taken. Only a piece of your mind is hesitating or wandering for your own decency or dignity, for your own wish or pray, not for your ancestors.
