Operating mechanism of the meridian system 12: Circulation of Sam-Cho (Operation of Sam-Po)

Sa-Ki (邪氣; harmful and bad Ki) and Tak-Ki (濁氣; turbid Ki) are emitted through Bae-Su-Hyul (背兪穴; 24 drainage acupoints on the back) and the sewerage acupoints of hands and feet during the circulation of the twelve main meridian routes and eight extraordinary meridian routes. Sa-Ki and Tak-Ki are emitted altogether with sweat, urine, and feces.

Sa-Ki and Tak-Ki, which are not emitted out of body, tend to remain near acupoints and get accumulated in tender points (壓痛點; pressure points) intensively. If Sa-Ki and Tak-Ki get accumulated in the abdomen region, then they form “Jug (積; invisible and immovable cluster of bad energies to cause pains)” and “Chui (聚; invisible and floating cluster of bad energies to cause pains)”. Joong-Wan (中脘; CV12) is the acupoint where Sa-Ki and Tak-Ki get accumulated most frequently.

Jung and Ki, which have not yet lost the magnetic fields after they finished circulations through the twelve main and eight extraordinary meridian routes, are clustered into one point. A special meridian route in different layer of Conception Vessel (CV), which is five times larger than CV, is connected with Dan-Jun (丹田; CV4<關元>, CV5<石門>, CV6<氣海>) as one-way in the opposite circulatory direction of CV.

The energies of JungžKižShin, which have lost the light property or the magnetic forces, are accumulated at acupoints as the type of Sa-Ki and Tak-Ki during the circulation of the twelve main meridian system and eight extraordinary meridian routes. Energies of JungžKižShin, which are too slow after losing magnetism, agglomerate together and become heavy particles. These heavy particles are accumulated at acupoints as the type of Sa-Ki and Tak-Ki and begin to cause pains.

The energies of JungžKižShin nourish cells and tissues, and keep them alive. Once the energies of JungžKižShin complete their circulatory cycles through meridian system, they converge to a place and prepare another cycles. The energies of JungžKižShin, which didn’t lose magnetism, converge to Dan-Jun. And then they start up the circulation of Sam-Cho (三焦; three types of fumigation process by Simpo, thyroid, prostate or womb) by the help of invisible devices installed at Dan-Jun.

The cardiovascular system can be divided largely by circulation of the artery, circulation of veins, and circulation of capillaries. Likewise, the meridian systems can be divided largely by the following four cycles:

n  Circulation of Wi-Ki

l  Wi-Ki (衛氣) is the Guardian energy which circulates in the outer area of body to protect skin.

l  This circulation is governed by lung.

n  Circulation of Yung-Ki

l  Yung-Ki (營氣) means the energies of JungžKižShin () circulating in the twelve Main meridian routes.

l  Yung-Ki circulates through the 12 Main meridian system.

l  This circulation is governed by heart.

n  Circulation of the Eight Extraordinary meridian system.

l  This circulation is governed by Hwe-Eum (會陰; the Perineum, CV1).

n  Circulation of Se-Maek (細脈; Thready Vessel, Fine Vessel) and Nag-Maek (絡脈; Branch Vessel)

l  This circulation is governed by Sam-Cho (三焦).

l  Sam-Cho (三焦) means three types of fumigation process by Simpo, thyroid, prostate or womb.

l  For this circulation, Dan-Jun (丹田; CV4<關元>, CV5<石門>, CV6<氣海>) plays the crucial roles.

The energies of JungžKižShin accumulated in Dan-Jun are wrapped with the more increased magnetic property with the help of invisible devices of Dan-Jun, which reinforce the property of light. The energies accumulated at Dan-Jun transfer to Sam-Po and then get refined into microscopic particles to pass through Se-Maek (細脈; Thready Vessel, Fine Vessel).

Sam-Po (三包; three Po) means Simpo, thyroid, and uterus (for female) or prostate (for male). In the Korean medicine, uterus (for man, prostate) and thyroid has been called the second and third heart, respectively. This is because all these organs have the properties of Po (包) just like Simpo. In this context, the term “Sam-Cho” is alternatively used instead of Sam-Po, but in essence they are equivalent concept.

The energies accumulated at Dan-Jun, which is the first round of rough processing, are sent to Simpo, thyroid, and uterus (or prostate) where fumigation processes are conducted and then these refined energies are delivered to every Se-Maek (細脈; Thready Vessel, Fine Vessel) and Nag-Maek (絡脈; Branch Vessel). This makes the circulation of Sam-Cho, which is entirely different from the circulation through Triple Energizer meridian (TE; 手少陽三焦經).

The circulation of Sam-Cho means the three circulations of Sang-Cho (上焦; upper area fumigation), Joong-Cho (中焦; middle area fumigation) and Ha-Cho (下焦; lower area fumigation). The circulation of Sang-Cho is directed by thyroid which is alternatively called “the third heart”. The circulation of Joong-Cho by Simpo. The circulation of Ha-Cho directed by uterus (or prostate) means the circulations in Nag-Maek (絡脈; Branch Vessel) and Se-Maek (細脈; Thready Vessel, Fine Vessel). 

In the circulation of Sang-Cho, Nag-Maek (絡脈; Branch Vessel) and Se-Maek (細脈; Thready Vessel, Fine Vessel) in areas such as cerebrum cortex and gray matter play the main roles. Sang-Cho means the area above Chun-Dol (天突; CV22).

The circulation of Joong-Cho is directed by Simpo, which includes the circulation of Nag-Maek (絡脈; Branch Vessel) and Se-Maek (細脈; Thready Vessel, Fine Vessel) in the musculoskeletal system and internal organs corresponding to Joong-Cho. Physically, Joong-Cho covers the area from Chun-Dol to navel in human body. In the center of circulations for Sam-Cho lies Simpo. The circulation of Samcho helps the flow of Jin-Aek (津汁; the essential body fluids).

In the circulation of Ha-Cho, uterus and prostate play the role of Po for female and male respectively. Ha-Cho covers the area of below navel. The circulation of eight Extraordinary Meridian routes help the circulation of Sam-Cho each other to provide Jin-Aek and Jung-Ki to every corner in human body.

The first fumigation process of Po at Simpo produces the energies of JungžShin through processing the energies made from digestion and absorption of food. JungžShin get combined with Ki, which is absorbed by Woon-Hwa function of spleen, to create the circulation of Yung-Ki and Wi-Ki.

At the first stage, JungžShin, which is produced at Simpo, move to two Po’s (thyroid, uterus or prostate), through separated tubes. JungžShin is refined by the second fumigation process at two Po’s. And thus the circulation of Triple Energizer meridian (TE; 手少陽三焦經) start up at last after this reproduction of JungžShin.

The energies of JungžKižShin gathered in Dan-Jun are transferred again to three Po’s (Simpo, thyroid, uterus or prostate), after the process of Choog-Ki (蓄氣; accumulation of Ki) in Dan-Jun. And thus the energies of JungžKižShin are refined more delicately than the first fumigation process of Po.

Natural and deep breathing fosters the accumulation of Ki at Dan-Jun. There are so many Ki-practicers and yogis eager for making Dan (丹; core seed at Dan-Jun) through the accumulation of Ki at Dan-Jun through all their lives. For this goal, they do Ki-Gong practice (氣功修練), breathing practice, yoga, or other various spiritual trainings. In fact, all these efforts are to seek the full activation of the eight Extraordinary Meridian system and active circulation of Sam-Cho.

If the circulation of Sam-Cho is fully activated, then it means human body is transformed into “the Light Body”. For your understanding, let’s say the twelve main meridian system correspond to national road. Then the eight Extraordinary meridian system and the circulation routes of Sam-Cho correspond to express way and town road respectively. The circulation of Sam-Cho makes human body to the light body by providing energies to every corner in body. The circulation of Sam-Cho raises up the vibrational frequency in body and secure the passages for lights, which lead to reducing cancers, preventing cell senescence, and playing a key role for curing incurable diseases.

In summary, the circulations of Triple Energizer meridian (TE; 手少陽三焦經) consist of the following three blocks:

n  The circulation of Jin-Aek (津汁; the essential body fluids)

l  This function is directed by Bladder.

n  The circulations in Nag-Maek (絡脈; Branch Vessel) and Se-Maek (細脈; Thready Vessel, Fine Vessel)

l  This function is directed by Dan-Jun.

n  The circulation of Yung-Ki
